Relationship Poker Game Rules
Game Concept
Relationship Poker is a two-player game that deepens connection through vulnerability and honest conversation. Players bet on each other's vulnerability, answer questions verbally, and rate compatibility. The player with the most chips at the end wins, but the real prize is the deeper understanding you gain of each other.
Setup
- 1.Enter both player names
- 2.Choose starting chips (10-50 chips each)
- 3.Set number of rounds (8-20 rounds)
- 4.Pass the device between players as prompted
Round Flow
Phase 1: Player 1 Bets & Asks
Player 1 bets 1-5 chips on Player 2's answer, then reads the question out loud to Player 2.
Phase 2: Player 2 Answers
Player 2 answers the question verbally (out loud). Be honest and vulnerable!
Phase 3: Player 1 Evaluates
Player 1 either accepts the answer (fold) or challenges it (call).
- • Accept: Move to rating phase
- • Challenge: Decide if answer was genuine or shallow
- • If genuine: Player 1 loses 2 chips
- • If shallow: Player 2 loses their bet
Phase 4: Player 1 Rates Vulnerability
Player 1 rates the vulnerability from 1-5. Player 1 wins chips equal to the minimum of (rating, bet).
↻ Player 2 now bets and reads the same question to Player 1, who answers verbally
Round Summary
View chip changes and the Compatibility Score (sum of both vulnerability ratings) for the round.
Vulnerability Levels
Winning
The player with the most chips at the end wins the title of "Vulnerability Champion"! But remember: the true value is in the authentic connection and understanding you build together.
